Mike Bruner

Mike Bruner spent his forty year career in education as a history teacher at Chanute High School. He held leadership positions in the Kansas Council for the Social Studies, The Kansas National Education Association, and was a charter member and first President of the KS Council for History Education.  Mike has served on several committees for the KDOE, including three terms on the Standards Committee for History/Social Studies. He and his wife Glenda have three adult children who attended Kansas public schools. They have three grandchildren currently enrolled in public schools in Iola and Olathe.
